Turmeric has warming properties that improve hormonal imbalance and regulates the menstrual cycle. Also, its anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties help reduce the cramping. Take a ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder and add it to a glass of lukewarm milk and drink. Continue this process every day, until you see better results.

Ginger promotes menstruation flow and also relieves women from the unbearable pain thus, regulating monthly periods in women. Boil ½ tsp. of freshly grounded ginger in 1 cup of water for around 5-10 minutes. Then add honey to enhance the taste. Strain and drink this mixture 3 times a day after every meal for around 1 month.

3. Coriander seeds
Boil 1 teaspoon of coriander seeds in 2 cups of water. Let them boil until the quantity of water reduces to half. Strain this solution and drink thrice daily for few days prior the onset of your period. Continue this remedy for 1 or 2 months. Else, you can also drink coriander juice daily.
4. Carrot juice
Carrots are a good source of iron and they help in regulating the proper functioning of hormones. Drink a glass of carrot juice regularly for 3 months to normalize your irregular menstrual cycle.
Fennel aids in promoting the menstruation flow. Furthermore, its antispasmodic properties provide relief from cramping associated with premenstrual syndrome. Soak 2 tablespoons of fennel seeds in a glass of water overnight. The next morning, strain this solution and drink. Continue this daily for 1 month to see effective results.
Alternatively, you can grind 1 teaspoon of fennel seeds to make a fine powder. Now, add this to 1 cup of boiling water and steep for 5 minutes. Strain and drink this mixture.
6. Sesame and jaggery

8. Unripe papaya

Boil 5 figs in a cup of water. Strain this decoction and consume it on daily basis. It will help regularize your menstrual cycle.
Take a ½ cup of water and boil one teaspoon of saffron in it. Simmer it until its quantity reduces to one tablespoon. Now, divide this infusion into 3 portions and take it with equal quantities of water, three times daily for a couple of days.
13. Bitter gourd
Drink bitter gourd juice once or twice every day for a few weeks to get rid of irregular periods. It is proved to be very effective for the treatment of irregular periods. Moreover, bitter gourd juice protects the body from diabetes also.
14. Apple cider vinegar
ACV reduces the levels of insulin and blood sugar in the body that help regulate the periods naturally. Consume 1-2 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar with water once daily before your meal to prevent irregular periods.
15. Vitamin C
Vitamin C contributes to the production of estrogen in the body that builds the uterine lining that handles your periods. Consume high doses of vitamin C if your periods do not happen in 30 or 35 days. Include oranges, apples, tomatoes, berries, etc. in your diet as a source of vitamin C. having high doses of vitamin C is not suggested for pregnant women as it may cause miscarriage.
Asafoetida contains chemical compounds that can treat the hormonal disorder. Fry a small amount of powdered asafoetida in clarified butter. Now, add it to the goat’s milk along with some honey. Recommended dosage of asafoetida is 200 – 500 mg a day.
17. Aloe vera
Aloe vera has amazing healing properties that can cure many disorders. Extract some fresh aloe gel from its leaf and mix 1 teaspoon of honey in it. Consume this mixture daily before your breakfast for around 3 months. Alternatively, you can also squeeze out some fresh pulp from 3 aloe leaves and boil it. Let it boil till the color of gel turns brown. When it cools down, take 1 tsp. with a cup of water. Have this early in the morning on empty stomach. Do not consume it during your menstruation.
A combo of one teaspoon each of honey and dried mint powder is an excellent treatment for irregular menstrual periods. Consume it three times a day for some weeks.
Add two gm. of dried calendula flowers in 200 ml boiled water and let them steep. Strain it and drink this infusion 2 times a day. Calendula is a rich source of flavonoids and quercetin that balances the blood circulation. It has analgesic properties that provide relief from the premenstrual pain. Calendula is also known as garden marigold.
Take some fresh basil leaves and crush them to extract its juice. Combine 1 tsp. each of honey and basil juice. Sprinkle some pepper powder on this mixture and consume it 2 times a day to treat the problem of irregular menstruation.
21. Indian lilies
Pour 2 cups of water in a bowl and soak 3 cups of Indian lilac bark in it for about 20 minutes. Strain this decoction and consume 1 cup thrice daily. Continue this remedy until you notice the improvement.
22. Hibiscus flower
Crush 5 fresh hibiscus flowers in a blender to form a smooth paste. Consume this paste with some water in the morning before your breakfast. It should be taken 7 days prior your menstrual cycle. This remedy helps to maintain the balance of estrogen and progesterone levels in the body and also regulates the monthly cycle.
23. Black cohosh
Use the extracts or tincture of black cohosh to regularize your periods. The phytoestrogens present in this herb normalize the working of hormones in the body and thus, helps in dealing with the menstruation issues.
24. Blue cohosh
Consume tincture or extract of blue cohosh prior your menstrual period. It works as an emmenagogue that stimulates menstrual flow. Consumption of this herb expands the blood vessels in the uterus and leads to proper circulation.
