Ingredients for a Perfect Healthy Omelet
- 3 egg whites, and 1 part of yolk
- 1 tbsp soy milk
- Pinch of salt (to taste)
- Pinch of black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup finely chopped tomato
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
Directions to Cook
Step 1: Take salt, pepper, egg whites, yolk and soy milk in a small bowl and gently blend it. Make sure you do not overbeat it.
Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large fry pan over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook it till they turn golden brown. Add tomato and bell pepper; cook until very soft.
Step 3: Lower the heat to medium. Pour the blended egg mixture into the pan and spread it evenly. Cook the omelet until edges begin to set. Generally, it takes around 2-3 minutes. Slide the front edge of spatula between the edge of omelet and pan. Gently lift the edge of omelet, tilting pan to allow some uncooked egg mixture to come in contact with the pan. Repeat procedure on the opposite edge.
Once the edges are set, gently lift the edge of omelet with a spatula, tilting the pan a little to allow uncooked egg mixture to come in contact with the pan. Repeat procedure on the opposite edge.
Now you have to Repeat this same procedure on the opposite side of the omelet.
